Hah, fair. I haven’t tried it in windows, I just assumed it would work properly. I guess that was assuming too much.

Hopefully this also includes downloading/installing unreal engine in linux. It’s already supported, but the marketplace linking for assets and things can get janky in linux. Hopefully this gets smoothed out.

Good to hear brother, stay safe.

Rawdogging the internet is a great way to catch a disease.
Exactly this.
One thing you may want to explore is your OS. If you want to do what you suggested with a NAS OS like TrueNAS or Unraid. They can take advantage of a ssd cache. One small regular ssd for your OS, storage on your hdd array, and a NAS quality ssd that essentially runs your docker containers that gets backed up to your array.
It’s not nessesary. But if it’s something you think you might want to do in the future, you’ll want a plan for it now. Make sure you have enough mobo connections, and space in your case or an idea on how you would want to expand.

I believe by replying to my comment, per Lemmy rules, totally not mine. You’ve contractually agreed to putting at least 5, but no more than 100 rainbow stickers on the inside of your case.
Yes, you may call them “RGB”.
Yes, they make your NAS go faster.
Yes, they improve airflow, but only when oriented correctly.
No, they don’t make you less straight. They’re “closeted” officially.

Wait, we’re putting stickers in the case now?
It likely also needs an ip address range to determine what is “local” for you. Is it 192.168.1.0\24, 10.0.0.0\24 or something else. Unsure what that flag would be though for slskd.
I have audio recording/listening working with frigate, but not any talking back through the doorbell. Which makes sense since it’s an rtsp stream from the doorbell. In order to be able to talk out of the camera you’d have to expose internal apis which many doorbells don’t do.
