KDE Plasma. TheBlackDon on youtube does this with KDE/his KineticWe setup using a Steam controller.
oof yeah I used to also have an Asus ROG Strix G15 and it caused me nothing but issues with linux. thankfully the thing killed itself after a couple years and I just started using thinkpads.
