1 month agoI eye a lot of indie games and more often than not, I just wait for a really deep discount before I pull the trigger.
But when I try a demo… and that demo SLAPS, I buy shortly after. AND I tell my friends about the game.
I love demos.

Not to mention pirates do increase game visibility, which is free advertising. And pirates play games that they wouldn’t otherwise buy.
Small percentage, sure. But it’s a factor.
They’re not denuvo games but I tried CO:E33 and BG3 because they were big and popular. I eventually bought both. I would have never tried or bought them otherwise, the price tag was just too great to bother.
You said it’s a brawler game. I see cards, there’s a shop. It’s clear I can buy things (in the app) but I don’t see anywhere to play. That’s a big issue for me.
The fact that the game puts “giveaways” and “seasons” on the front page and a “shop” along the bottom of the screen makes it feel like a game like fortnite. Free to play, but pushes mtx and gives you fomo in the long run. I don’t like that either.
… Where’s the “play a match” button?
