Be careful with WD reds and CMR/SMR. Even though every WD Red Plus should be CMR, WD is known for selling SMR drives marketed as CMR. The whole Red Plus line exists because, before that, the WD Reds were supposed to be CMR, but they started mixing them with SMR drives. People found out and lawsuits were filed, so WD’s answer was to say that the WD Red line didn’t guarantee CMR, and people needed to pay extra for the WD Red Plus line.
WD is forever off my list of trustworthy manufacturers. But there aren’t many options, and I understand that in these times it may be difficult to pass on a good offer. Read customer reviews and, upon arrival, make sure they’re CMR.

This user is a known troll around here. Every time someone mentions Linux, they spawn and start raging about it. It’s quite funny, tbh. Their arguments against it are so dumb that I don’t think anyone falls for them, so it’s alr, no need to argue with them.
Destiny 2 is a funny one because there actually was a Linux version that worked fine, and it was (and maybe still is) what Stadia and all those other remote gaming platforms were running. The system just bans you if you use Linux and aren’t any one of those corporations. Which isn’t to say that it technically works on Linux, but that all these greedy companies are making our lives more miserable just to extract every last penny, while gaslighting us in the process.
Windows is so bad that running a windows game through proton on linux can generally be faster. However, running the game natively on linux should be even faster than using proton. If companies cared about linux, we could have even more performance than we already do.
